Reports to Shift Lead and Manager on Duty

Wage: Starts at $10 per hour –. (Hourly stipends available based upon job duties (Differential pay – Night shift $1/hour; ARFF shift $.50/hour)

As the “backbone” of the airport, the operations department is tasked with a multitude of responsibilities.  Ramp agents will work a rotating shift schedule that includes nights, weekends, holiday, rainy days, cold and hot days.  In this job you will safely service aircraft large and small, do manual labor, fix what is broken, and keep the airport in a safe condition.  There are opportunities for advancement in this position by becoming a shift lead or going through Airport Rescue Firefighter (ARFF) training.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities


Ramp Agent Responsibilities

Aircraft fueling, baggage loading and unloading, cargo handling, lav service, water service, GPU service, Air Start service, belt loader operation, Fuel Quality Control on fuel trucks and fuel farm, passenger assistance to and from aircraft to include wheel chair passengers and straight backs. Additional duties include POS system operation, customer service assistance at the front desk

Airport Operations Responsibilities

Perform airfield inspections; haze wildlife; take water samples, sweep and clean airfield areas, janitorial duties, perform airfield and terminal maintenance tasks, cooking food for airport diner, light electrical work.


Position Requirements

The individual(s) selected for this position must have a positive work ethic and a “can-do” attitude; Must be 18 years or older; US citizen or show proof of citizenship; High school diploma or GED; three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior airline and/or FBO experience is preferred but not required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and successful completion of company’s Training program(s) are required. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Must be able to pass all local and federal background investigations including drug screening tests and required 49 CFR 1542 criminal background checks. Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
