Job Overview
Temporary grant-funded position to assist the team with duties related to providing patients with medications through the medication office, as well as communicating with patients both in person and over the phone. 32-36 hours per week. Seeking a team player who is flexible, willing to learn, cares about people, and is comfortable sharing God’s love through whole-person care. Reports To Clinical Services Supervisor

Responsibilities and Duties of Medicine Room Technician 
• Enter medication orders into pharmacy software
• Complete medication orders
• Make and answer phone calls
• Customer service
• Maintain an organized work area
• Maintain and update patient information
• Protect patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal, financial and medical information
• Photocopy and print documents
• Inventory management Qualifications and Skills
• Knowledge of patient privacy regulations (HIPAA)
• Excellent time management skills
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize work
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to utilize computer software systems
• Excellent communication skills: written and verbal Physical Abilities
• Stand for extended periods of time; push, pull and reach; occasionally bend, sit, stoop and stretch
• Have a full range of body motion
• Have hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity needed to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator or similar
• Have a normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports; specific vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus
• Occasionally lift and carry up to 20 pounds

Education and Experience
• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college desired
• Medical clinic experience preferred
• Pharmacy experience preferred

Compensation Range
$10-$13/hr, DOE, plus FaithCare health benefit
